SS Shieldhall
Shieldhall was built in 1955 to carry treated sewage
from Glasgow to the sea for dumping. She was sold to Southern Water
in 1977 and then into preservation in 1988. The steamship operates cruises and excursions around the Solent
and further afield. Engine room courses are also available where
you can learn how to prepare the vessel for a voyage and spend a
