Most UK-registered White Star vessels had Liverpool as their home port. 'Titanic' was built at Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland. After sea trials in the Irish Sea, she sailed directly to Southampton for her maiden voyage, never berthing at Liverpool.
