"ANNIE COCHRANE."
REPORT of the Marine Board of New South Wales in the matter of the stranding of the "ANNIE COCHRANE."
The Board held an investigation into the circumstances connected with the stranding of this vessel, and found her to be a schooner of 50 tons, registered in Sydney, owned by Charles C. Mierendorff, the master, and insured. She was on a voyage from Sydney to the Nambuccra, and in the attempt to enter the river was struck by a heavy sea, which washed some of her ropes foul of the wheel chains, thus disabling the steering gear, and causing the vessel to broach-to and drift on the rocks. She was afterwards got off and brought to Sydney to be repaired. The Board decided that no evidence had been adduced upon which to found a charge of default against the master.

FRANCIS HIXON, President.
