(No. 952.)

"LADY PRYSE."

FINDING of a Court of Inquiry held before ROBERT JAMES CROZIER, Resident Magistrate, and GEORGE BUD, Port officer, as Nautical Assessor, at Mossel Bay, the 11th day of November 1880, to inquire into the circumstances connected with the wreck of the British Schooner, "LADY PRYSE."

We are of opinion that the wreck of the "Lady Pryse" did not occur through any misconduct, default, or incompetency of the master; that everything was done that could be done by the officers and crew to save the vessel and cargo. The wreck was caused by the force of the wind and heavy sea running in Mossel Bay, during Friday night, the 5th instant.

(Signed)

R. J. CROZIER, Resident Magistrate.

G. G. BUD, Nautical Assessor.

Resident Magistrate's Office, Mossel Bay, 11th November 1880.
