Unique ID:10159
Description:The Queen Elizabeth arrives at berth 103 in the Western Docks, towed by two tugs and pushed on her port side by two whilst another makes towards her stern. Crowds line the quayside in front of what is now Mayflower Park to watch the docking of this great liner. Passengers can be seen in the bow of the ship. On the left are damaged warehouses a left over of the war. Behind the Queen Elizabeth the view stretches over the Eastern Docks, where lettering on the Harland and Wolff shipyard roof clearly stands out, to Woolston, Weston, and Netley shorelines with the solent beyond. See also M20908, a different aerial view of the same event.
